DOCTOR’S DAY CELEBRATION 2022

In commemoration of the birth Anniversary of Dr. BC ROY which falls on 1st July every year, Doctor’s Day was celebrated at MGMCRI. This year we celebrated by honoring the MGMCRI Professors of Eminence from various disciplines on 12.07.2022 between 03.00 – 04.00 pm. The event commenced with MGMCRI anthem, following which Prof. Seetesh Ghose, Dean MGMCRI delivered the welcome address and heartily welcomed the dignitaries on the dais, students, faculty members and other administrative functionaries who attended the program. Dr. C.P. Ganesh Babu, Vice Principal (Curriculum) enlightened the mixed gathering of budding doctors and experts of various disciplines about the significance of Doctor’s day. Then the following 8 Stalwarts of MGMCRI were honored with a memento and bouquet as gratitude for their countless contributions to the growth of the institute in the area of Academics, Research and Patient care. Prof. S C Parija, Vice Chancellor, SBV- Prof. N Ananthakrishnan, Dean of Faculty, SBV, Prof. S. Robinson Smile, Professor of Eminence, department of General Surgery, Prof. R. Narasimhan, Emeritus Professor, department of Pathology, Prof. K. Sathyanarayana Reddy, Professor of Eminence, department of Radiation oncology, Prof. S. Gopalakrishnan, Professor of Eminence, department of Oto-rhino-laryngology, Prof. S. Habeebullah, Professor of Eminence, department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Prof. Ravishankar M, Professor of Eminence, department of Anesthesiology and Director of C-DREaMS were honored. This was followed by a felicitation address by Prof. N. Ananthakrishnan, Dean of Faculty, SBV. In his address he mentioned the significant contribution of Dr. B.C. Roy for our nation and asked the student community to become such a wholesome medical professional and serve society. Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SBV, a noteworthy B. C. Roy Awardee, addressed the gathering. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. S. Padmavathi, Vice Principal (Students Affairs) at 04.10 pm. The program was supported by the management and organized by the office of the Dean for thanking the luminaries who played a significant role in the development of the institute to this great heights.
