2nd October, 2021 marked the 152nd Birth Anniversary of dearest father of our nation Mahatma Karamchand Gandhi, fondly known as Bapu.
To commemorate this, to reminisce his unimaginably massive contribution to the freedom struggle, and his staunch commitment to peace or satyagraha, the council organized an event as an expression of affection, devotion and gratitude.
The sequence of the event was as follows-
9:00 – 9:05 — Welcome address by Vice President Ms. Roopashree
9:05 – 9:10 — Prayer song (Vande mataram)
9:10 – 9:15 — Lamp lighting ceremony
9:15 – 9:20 — Address by the Dean, MGMCRI
9:20 – 9:25 — Speech on Gandhi Jayanti by LnD secretary Ms. Nandhini
9:25 – 9:40 • reciting religious beliefs
• patriotic dance
• devotional singing
9:40 – 9:45 — Vote of thanks by General secretary Mr. Advait
9:45 – 9:50 — National anthem
This was followed by distribution of chocolates and silent dispersal.
This marked the end of this graceful event which made each one of us understand the essence of life in it’s true essence, and use it for our own welfare as well as to relentlessly serve society.
