INSTITUTE DAY 2022

The Institute day was conducted on 29th April 2022 to commemorate the student’s hard work and success, to laud their academic prowess and to recognize the various heights that they have achieved over the past 2 years. This highly awaited event began at 2:15 pm. The event was presided by the honourable Vice Chancellor of SBV, Professor Subhash Chandra Parija. The esteemed Chief Guest of this grand event was Hon’ble Vice Chancellor cum Director, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh Professor BVengamma. The Dean MGMCRI Professor Seetesh Ghose, Medical Superintendent Professor Nirmal Coumare and Vice Principal Student Affairs Professor Padmavathi Shanmuganathan were the other dignitaries on the dais. Respected Dean felicitated and welcomed the honourable Chief Guest Professor B Vengamma. The Medical Superintendent welcomed the Vice Chancellor of SBV Professor Subhash Chandra Parija with a bouquet. This was followed by MGMCRI and SBV anthem which captures the essence and beliefs of our institute & university. The Medical Superintendent Professor Nirmal Coumare extended a warm welcome to all the parents, students and the dignitaries. The esteemed dignitaries of the dais then lit the lamp which signified the spread of light and dispels the darkness. Professor Seetesh Ghose then presented the institute report for the years 2019 to 2021. The coordinator of the medical education unit of MGMCRI and the head of the department of Pathology Professor Sowmya S then introduced the chief guest and enlightened the audience about her great achievements. To recognize the hard work and achievements of our students who have worked diligently over the past years, the chief guest and the dignitaries on the dais presented the awards to felicitate the academic prowess of various students who had outshined during the past 2 years. Former Dean and present Head of Digital resources and E learning SBV announced the best outgoing students for the batch of 2015 – Dr. Dhivya S, & and batch of 2016 – Dr. Thilak G, and the best all-rounder awards for the batch of 2015 – Dr. Dhivya S and the batch of 2016 – Dr. Srihari Govid K N. Professor A N Uma professor in charge of allied health sciences then announced the best outgoing student of allied health sciences. The distinguished Chief guest professor B Vengamma who is a remarkable neurologist and the first ever women director cum vice chancellor Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences addressed the gathering and enlightened the students about what all it takes to make a renowned physician. As our Chancellor was unable to grace the event his valuable message to the parents and students were read out by Mrs Asha Suresh Babu, GM administration. Following this the Vice chancellor of SBV delivered the Presidential address through which he motivated the students to strive hard and to keep up their hard work. The splendid gathering came to an end at 5:15pm before which the Vice Principal Student Affairs Professor Padmavathi S delivered the vote of thanks.
