 
The Forensic Medicine department, in collaboration with the Audio Visual club, hosted the inter-college short film competition on July 12 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on the theme Crime Scene Investigation. 23 teams registered for this contest on June 20 and submitted their short films on July 9. The judges chose the top seven short films, and was invited to the screening on 12th of July. The top 3 were chosen out of the 7 to receive the awards. The following colleges from Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu enrolled for the competition – Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Sree Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Sri Venkateshwara Medical College, Sree Balaji Medical College, Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute, ACS Medical College and Hospital and Madras Medical College. Out of the top seven nominees, the best three were picked to receive the prizes and certificates.
First prize- Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Pondicherry
Second prize- Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry
Third prize- Chettinad Hospital And Research Institute, Chennai
