 Department of Pathology, MGMCRI, in coordination with Department of Microbiology and Biochemistry, organized retraining programme for laboratory technicians in Commemoration of Medical laboratory professional’s week 2023. A total of 28 laboratory technicians attended the training sessions from 24.04.2023 to 29.04.2023. There were interactive sessions with presentation of lab activities by technicians of all three laboratory service departments. The sessions included talks on Biomedical waste management, Cytocentrifugation technique, Histopathology Lab quality management system and Laboratory safety measures, given by faculty of the Department of Pathology, MGMCRI as well as from VMMC, Karaikal. Department of Microbiology had organized a session on Continuous quality improvement by Dr. Prateesh, DMS, Super Speciality Services which was attended by technicians of all the three departments. A workshop on Frozen section for technicians of histopathology section, was conducted by Mr. Sivanantham, Technician, Pathology, MGMCRI. Certificates were awarded to the participants and resource persons by Dr. Seetesh Ghose, Dean, MGMCRI at the valedictory function.
