 Mr. Parthasarathy (MSW, Dept. of Community Medicine), under the guidance of Dr. Abhijit V Boratne (Prof. & H.O.D., Dept. of Community Medicine) and Dr. Sahityaa (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Community Medicine) successfully conducted Information Education Communication( IEC) activities in the allotted places on behalf of the Department of Community Medicine, MGMCRI. The pre-planning was done a few days prior to the event after consulting with Mr. Joseph (Deputy Registrar). The site visit and the arrangement of resources were done after receiving the fund from the management In the period of lockdown, the Coronavirus disease awareness and prevention was delivered to the general public as pre-recorded audio media through speakers installed in a tempo traveler. The awareness audio media was recorded by Dr. Mageshwari (PG, Dept. of Community Medicine). This activity immensely helped to spread awareness regarding COVID-19 to the general public residing in the areas of Ariyankuppam, Thavalakuppam, Karikalampakkam, Abishekapakkam. This IEC activity was carried out from the April 1st to April 11, 2020, and was well appreciated by the Govt health officials and the public
