The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute co-organised Perinatal Mental Health – A Short Course for Obstetricians along with the All India Co –ordinating Committee RCOG – South Zone and the Indian Psychiatric Society – Perinatal Psychiatry Task Force on the 19th and 20th of February 2021. It was an online course limited to only 30 members. It was fully booked. It had renowned Obstetricians and Psychiatrists from all over India. It is a course recognised by ICOG. The aim of the program was to train the practising obstetricians to pick up Red Flag symptoms for psychiatric illness during and after Pregnancy. The course was well attended and received good feedback.
