Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Survey:
Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) had registered under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and adopted five villages as per their criteria – two villages in Tamilnadu (Tayilgunampattinam & Manamthavizhnthaputhur) & three villages in Puducherry (KeelParikalpattu, Pilyarkuppam, and Thondamanatham) under UBA. A basic village survey was conducted & mapping was done on 6th – 10th January 2020.
Dr.Abhijit V Boratne, Professor & Head, Community Medicine had been authorized in this regard to carrying on the activities of UBA for SBV Coordinator. Â
Keezh Parikkalpattu Village:
UBA activities were initiated on 02nd and 3rd  March 2020, in Keezh Parikkalpattu Village by our team comprising of Dr.V.Surendran, & Dr. V.Jyothi, Assistant Professors and 1st-year Postgraduate student, (Dr.Divyabharathy.R) and MSWs (Mr.Parthasarathy, Mr.Chandrasekar, Mr.Buhari), 129 Students from AHS and 50 students from nursing college along with their in-charge faculty. A household survey in the Government prescribed format was conducted and basic demographic details, Information regarding government schemes availed by the households of the village, source of water, energy and power usage of the household, and their landholding information particularly the agricultural inputs, productions, and livestock numbers and the major problems of the village were collected. A total of 200 households were surveyed and the approximate population of 1000 was covered during these two days.
PillaiyarKuppam Village:
UBA activities were conducted on 9th and 11th  March 2020, in Pillaiyarkuppam Village by our team comprising of Dr.V.Surendran, & Dr. A. Suguna, Assistant Professors and 1st-year Postgraduate student, (Dr.Divyabharathy.R) and MSWs (Mr.Parthasarathy, Mr.Chandrasekar, Mr.Buhari), 50 Students from MGMCRI, 129 students from AHS, and 50 students from nursing college along with their in-charge faculty. A total of 570 households and 2000 population approximately were covered during these three days.
