 
On account of World AIDS Day, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth had organised various programmes.
A conference was conducted by Scientific Academic Forum of MGMCRI, one of the constituent college of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth. Transgender rights activist and actor Laxmi Narayan Tripathi addressed the gathering. Laxmi praised Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth for employing transgender at supervisory levels at its constituent colleges and also opening an exclusive transgender clinic at the Hospital.
A rally was also organised by the Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth comprising of students and staff from its colleges which was flagged off at the City Centre of the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institution on Thiruvalluvar Salai and proceeded through the streets of the town before finishing at Gandhi Thidal.
