Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI)Â
At MGMCRI, our responsibility for training doesn’t end after candidates pass their examinations. We continue to mold the during their compulsory rotatory residential internship, for one year at our on-campus hospital. During the mandatory and elective postings with clinical work and duties, the interns work alongside the experienced consultants and residents to receive first-class exposure and hands-on experience on patient care and management, in all clinical specialties. Interns are also exposed to the workings of online hospital information systems.
Apart from clinical work, it is mandatory for all interns to undergo BLS and ACLS certification from the AHA certified courses provided by the Medical Simulation Center at MGMCRI. They also undergo CRRI Systematic training sessions supported by the fully equipped medical simulation center during their tenure, which focus on the necessary basic skills every physician must possess. By the end of their internship, candidates have to attend an Exit OSSCE examination, with feedback sessions which certifies them for all the basic clinical and communication skills they have been taught.
This makes MGMCRI completely unique in the undergraduate course delivery, and successful students are rightfully awarded the prestigious Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) degree.
