literary and debate CLUB

“Literature is the art of discovering something extraordinary about ordinary people and describing in ordinary words something extraordinary”. True to the proverb, “Pen is mightier than sword”, literature has come a long way, from Shakespeare to Chaucer to J.K.Rowling, and to this day remains one of the most loved forms of art. One of the various clubs of MGMCRI is the Literary and Debating Club, a home to all those that find solace and comfort in words. Being an ever enthusiastic and fun-filled group, the members of the club participate in various debating and writing events on and off campus showing off talents and winning many more prizes. The club also conducts various intracollege events and sometimes co-ordinates with the activities of the Government of India to help conduct events like Essay Writing and Elocution contests at an intracollege level. The club is also one that works relentlessly behind the screens – writing scripts and speeches, editing college magazines and hosting a myriad other events in our college.
