Dr. Prashanth Rajagopalan is a dynamic medical professional endowed with Masters in Public Health (Healthcare Leadership and Management) from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. He has the honour of being the youngest Fellow from the Harvard Macy Institute, USA. Dr. Prashanth is presently the Director of MGM Healthcare, Chennai. Possessing  keen  entrepreneurial skills, Dr. Prashanth effectively combines his experience acquired through first-hand knowledge in medicine, entrepreneurship, management, public health and evidence based research, towards nurturing quality healthcare aimed at optimal patient safety and satisfaction.

He has 46 years of rich experience in teaching, research and educational administration. With Master’s & Doctoral Degrees in Medical Microbiology, he has served Gulbarga University for 35 years in the field of Higher Education, especially as the Professor of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Dean of the Faculty of Science & Technology and Director (Development). He also served as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Pondicherry and Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences Maharashtra, (Deemed to be Universities) and also as the Vice Chancellor of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences Maharashtra, (Deemed to be University) during 2015-2021. He has committed himself to the Quality in Higher Education and served as Officer on Special Duty at the Quality Assurance Cell of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Karnataka for five years. He has conducted 500+ National Seminars/Symposia/Workshops/ Conferences on Quality Perspectives Related UGC & NAAC throughout India. He is actively involved in the aspects related to “Quality Assurance and Good Governance in Higher Education.”
