The lamp lighting ceremony for the 3rd batch of B.Sc (Nursing) students of Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing was held on 04.04.2022. The program began at 12:05 pm with the invocation of the SBV anthem. Mrs.Abilasha M, Nursing Tutor, SSSCON was the Master of Ceremonies for the program. Vice Principal Prof.A.L.Mahalakshmi, SSSCON welcomed the gatherings followed by which the Dignitaries lighted the traditional lamp. Our Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija released the official newsletter of Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing titled “SSSCON Nursing Digest”. Dr.Uma Devi T. HOD of OBG Nursing, SSSCON enlightened the significance of the lamp lighting ceremony followed by this the lamps were presented to the students by Prof. A.L.Mahalakshmi, Vice Principal, Prof. Golda Sahaya Rani, Dept of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Dr.Uma Devi T, Dept of OBG Nursing and Prof. Mahalakshmi S, Dept of Child Health Nursing. After lighting the lamps, Prof.Helen Shaji J.C., Principal, SSSCON, led the students in taking the Nurse’s Pledge, followed by a dedication song was sung by II Year B.Sc. (N) students. Prof.Udit B.Das, Dean, SSSMCRI, and Prof.T.Sundararajan, Medical Superintendent, SSSMCRI felicitated the gathering. Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Vice-Chancellor, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth delivered the keynote address. Prof.Gold Sahaya Rani, Dept of Medical-Surgical Nursing, SSSCON proposed the Vote of Thanks and the program ended with National Anthem at 01:30 pm.
