Current Role of Music Therapy in Stress Management

Center for Music Therapy Education and Research (CMTER), Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Pondicherry, conducted an International Workshop in Music therapy on 21.07.2019 (Sunday) titled “Current Role of Music Therapy in Stress Management” as part of the International Health Research Convention 2019, conceived by our Hon.Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija and organized by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Pondicherry between 19-21st July 2019 The International Workshop was organized by the Director of CMTER, Prof. Sumathy Sundar, the organizing chairman. The conference consisted of presentations from eminent resource persons with yearsof academic knowledge, research and experience from both international and national levels. The International speakers for the event were Prof Gerhard Tucek, Director, from IMC University of Applied Sciences, Krems, Austria. Dr. Carol Lotter, University of Pretoria, South Africa.At the national level, Dr.Parin Parmar, pediatric allergist from Rajkot & Dr Tarun Kumar Patel, A senior Surgeon and retina consultant from Benares and Dr.Baishali Mukherjee from Chennai School of Music Therapy.The experiential sessions were conducted by VikramKannan, Music therapist from Chennai, Dr. Anasuya Ravikanti from Hyderabad, Stephen Philip from Uttarakashi, Bhuvaneswari Ramesh, tutor at CMTER.
