 
Yogacharya Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Director ISCM of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth was awarded `Pride of Puducherry` 2023 by the Pondicherry Heritage Round Table 167 on 4th March 2023.
He was awarded for his yeoman service for the cause of Yoga in Puducherry, India and Internationally for the past many decades.
The event was organized by Vellore International School and Pondicherry Heritage Round Table 167 to present awards to personalities from different walks of life. This Pride of Puducherry award recognizes the services of the awardees in their respective fields for promotion and development of their fields and the society.
Hon`ble Transport Minister Thirumathi Chandrapriyanga, legislators and IPS officers from Puducherry were among those who participated in the programme and felicitated the awardees and presented the awards.
This is the first time that the awards were given to distinguish personalities in appreciation of their services. The awardees included three Padma Sri awardees namely Dr.Naliny Parthasarathy, Mr.V.K.Munusamy and Mr.Venkatapathy.
