EXPERT TALK: CRITICAL CARE NURSING IN THE ERA OF EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES

The Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing (SSSCON) hosted an expert talk on Critical Care Nursing in the Era of Emerging Infectious Diseases on March 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The event commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu and the SBV anthem. Dr. K. Prema Sekar, Principal of SSSCON, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the insightful session. Dr. Uma Devi T provided an overview of the challenges and advancements in critical care nursing, highlighting its significance in managing infectious diseases.
The session’s highlight was the expert talk by Mrs. Litty John, RN, MHA, from St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Canada. She shared her extensive knowledge and experiences in critical care, emphasizing evidence-based practices and emerging trends in managing infectious diseases. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Baskaran N, NEU Coordinator, acknowledging the contributions of the esteemed speakers and participants. The program ended with the National Anthem, marking a successful and enlightening session.
