Faculty Empowerment for Academic Training (FEAT) Program outcomes and consensus meet

Faculty Empowerment for Academic Training (FEAT) – Program outcomes and consensus meet was held on 08.12.2022 between 11.30am – 01.00pm in Benjamin Bloom Hall, 1st Floor IHPE. The program started with the welcome note for the gathering by Prof. K.A. Narayan, Director of, the Institute of Health Professions Education. Prof. N. Ananthakrishnan, Dean of Faculty, SBV spoke on the need of the program.  An overview of FEAT program was presented by Prof. M. Shivasakthy, Deputy Director, Institute of Health Professions Education.

The content, design, outcomes, and feedback of the FEAT program were presented for input and consensus from all invited members. (Hon. Vice Chancellor, Dean Faculty, Endowed chair Prof. K.R. Sethuraman, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Director and deputy director, CDREAMS, Heads of the institutions and Centres of SBV, Director Accreditation, Senior statistician, FDP coordinator, participants of first batch FEAT workshop and any other faculty members nominated by the heads of the constituent teaching units of SBV). The experts took part for specific inputs include

Senior Statistician: Remarks on the simplification of the process and analysis of the excel document

Director and Deputy Director, CDREAMS: Feasibility of automation and website-related questions

Heads of the Institutes & Centres and Director accreditation: Feasibility of the content and the program design

Controller of examinations and Registrar: Points related to the data used

FDP Coordinator and Director accreditation: Points related to the FDP organized

Prof. N. Ananthakrishnan, Prof. K.R. Sethuraman, & Prof. K.A. Narayan: Validation of the entire program finalizing the consensus.

Finally, Prof. S. C. Parija, honorable Vice-Chancellor, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth concluded the consensus meeting. The program ended with the vote of thanks proposed byProf. M. Shivasakthy, Deputy Director, IHPE.
