The Institute of Health Professions Education conducted the in-house faculty development program “Faculty Empowerment for Academic Training (FEAT)” for faculty members of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences. A hands-on workshop on managing Students Needing Additional Curricular Support (SNACS) and Students Provided Enriched Curricular Support (SPECS) was conducted for faculty members of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences. Faculty Empowerment for Academic Training (FEAT) was led by Prof. M. Shivasakthy, Deputy Director, IHPE. The details of the program are as follows.
The program was held in three phases.
Phase I: Identification of SNACS/SPECS was conducted on 11.11.2022 & 19.11.2022.
Phase II: Identification of individual student learning needs was completed on 24.11.2022 & 28.11.2022 and
Phase III: Implementation of support strategies was conducted on 01.12.2022, 05.12.2022 & 08.12.2022 respectively.
