Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing arranged a Student Enrichment program for the students on “Guidance for Competitive Examination and Career Counselling” on 17.11.2022 between 11.30 am and 1 pm at the college premises. The program was organized to invite the attention of students toward various competitive examinations and employment avenues in various countries for nurses. Awareness was imparted regarding various competitive examinations like IELTS and OET to motivate them to achieve bigger in life.
The program was attended by Prof.Dr. Helen Shaji JC, Principal, SSSCON, resource people from Transteller Journal Publishing Research Consultancy Pvt Ltd, Chennai, faculty members and students.
At the beginning of the program, Prof.Dr. Helen Shaji JC, Principal, SSSCON gave the keynote address and highlighted IELTS & OET examinations and placements abroad. Mrs. Vijayalakshmi, Certified Trainer, (IELTS British Council) the Speaker of the day gave a very inspiring and motivational talk on the IELTS and OET examination process and about the placement opportunities and procedure to be followed. She sensitized the students for the Competitive Examinations in Nursing, as they can choose a career in multi-dimensional areas. Hands-on skill practice was given to students about the writing skills to be followed in the OET examination. Students had a chance to clarify doubts during the open session held by the experts at the end of the day. Program came to an end by 1 pm with the valedictory session.
