 On October, 7, 2015 around 9.00 a.m. INDOJAPAN LIVE workshop on performing angioplasty and stenting of long standing occlusion of blood vessels of the heart was conducted in the department of cardiology at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Puducherry. JAPAN is known for its technical advances in this type of intervention. DR. KENYA NASU, Medical Director of TOYOHASHI Heart centre, JAPAN who is an expert in the field along with our cardiologists, headed by DR. AMIRTHA GANESH, HOD of Cardiology performed this tough procedure in 2 patients giving good results. A live transmission of the procedure with two way interaction was done for panel discussion. DR. G. RAJENDIRAN, Professor and HOD of cardiology, PSGIMS&R gave his lecture on CTO of coronary arteries. Many cardiologists, Cardio-thoracic surgeons, Cardiac Anesthetists, intensivists, physicians participated in this panel discussion.
