The Department of Art and Culture, Government of Puducherry has awarded Puduvai Kalaimamani Award to Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani for his contribution in the field of Indian dance Bharata Natyam. The award ceremony was held on the occasion of the 133rd Birth Anniversary of Poet Bharathidasan on 29th April 2023 at Kamban Kalaiarangam, Puducherry. Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry Dr. Tamilasai Sounthrarajan was Chief Guest , Hon’ble Chief Minister of Puducherry Shri. N. Rangasamy, presided, Hon’ble Speaker Shri. R. Selvam, Hon’ble Minister for Public Works Shri. K. Lakshminarayanan, Hon’ble Minister for Art and Culture Smt. Chandra Priyanka graced the occasion and gave away the prestigious awards.
