MoU BETWEEN CMTER, SBV, AND ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY

To promote international collaborative research activities & student exchange

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth signs a pact for academic enrichment with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), Cambridge on 19 7 2019 to promote international cooperation.  According to Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Hon. Vice-Chancellor of SBV, the goal of this pact is to stimulate innovative dialogue in music therapy between the experts of both these universities by which the students and researchers benefit. The pact will internationalize both the universities’ educational and research activities, promote student exchange programs and collaborative research projects in music therapy. The document will also enable the Ph.D. scholars of Cambridge Institute of Music Therapy Research at ARU to visit and research in Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth at its Center for Music Therapy Education and Research unit and vice-versa.

A delegation from Anglia Ruskin University headed by Prof. Helen, Director, Cambridge Institute of Music Therapy Research at ARU along with Prof. JorgFachner who is the co-director of the Cambridge Institute of Music Therapy Research at ARU visited  Center for Music Therapy Education and Research headed by Prof. SumathySundar during  the International Conference on “Current Role of Music Therapy: An Evidence-based Approach” hosted by SBV as a part of the International Health Research Convention held between 19-21 July 2019 during which time, this MOU was signed. Prof. Vellore A R Srinivasan, the Registrar represented SBV in the MOU. Prof. Helen Odel-Miller, OBE of Anglia Ruskin University urged that this initiative will promote the evidence-based methods of music therapy services with patients.

According to Prof. S C Parija, this pact will go a long way in facilitating the practice of music therapy with a salutogenic emphasis as a part of regular medical care that SBV adopts as an innovative method.
