NATIONAL CONSTITUTION DAY 2022

Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing has celebrated the Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas)” on November 29th, 2022 at the college. A total of 103 students and 10 faculty members of the college were participated in the program. The program was executed by   Dr Sujatha T and Dr Uma Devi T, faculty of SSSCON under the able guidance of the Principal SSSCON Prof.Dr Helen Shaji JC.

A Keynote speech on the topic “Indian Constitution: An overview” was organized to cherish the glory and reaffirm our commitment to uphold the ideology of great Indian constitution. In her lecture to the students, Dr. Sujatha T. Professor and HOD of the Department of Community Health Nursing described the history of the Indian Constitution, its current shape, and its crucial role in bringing “an concept called India” together.

The preamble of Indian Constitution i.e India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic which is aiming to secure justice, liberty, equality to all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the nation were stressed and the pledge was lead by Dr Uma Devi T, Associate Professor cum HOD, Department of OBG Nursing followed by all the participants. Short film on Indian Constitution was also telecasted to the participants.

Principal Prof.Dr Helen Shaji JC shared her expertise on the subject.  Mam encouraged the students to abide by the Constitution.  Ma’am motivated the students to reaffirm their commitment to uphold the ideology laid down in the Indian Constitution.

Students took part in a writing exercise at the program’s end where they were to express their opinions on the values and tenets of the Indian Constitution.
