The NSS Unit of Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing organized a National Nutrition Week Rally on 21st September 2024 at Nellikuppam Village. This event was a part of the National Nutritional Awareness Week program, which was organized with the aim of creating awareness about healthy diets. Dr. K. Prema Sekar, Principal of Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing, Organizing Chairperson, of the program officially began the rally with the waving of the green flag. The event was coordinated by Prof.A.L.Mahalakshmi, Vice Principal, SSSCON, Mr.Dinesh M., NSS Coordinator, and Mr.Vijay, NSS Faculty Member. The rally began at 9:30 am and concluded at 12:00 pm, with 105 students from Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing actively participating in the event. The rally proceeded through the main streets of Nellikuppam Village, where students carried placards and banners promoting the importance of a healthy diet. Villagers were encouraged to adopt nutritious eating habits as part of their daily routine, and participants engaged with the community, distributing pamphlets and explaining the benefits of balanced diets. At the conclusion of the event, the President of Nellikuppam Village personally appreciated the efforts of the NSS unit of Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing for organizing such a valuable and impactful awareness program. The event was successfully concluded with great participation and enthusiasm.
