NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY – CHANCELLOR’S MEDAL 2018

 

 

 

 

 

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth had organised Chancellor’s Medal 2018 Contest in commemoration of the National Science Day on 28th February 2018 in remembrance of the discovery of ‘The Raman Effect’ by the Noble Laureate Sir CV Raman (28th February 1930). In this regard, an Elocution Content on the topic “Science and Technolgy for Sustainable Growth”  was organised for the Undergraduate students of all the constituent colleges in the Ground Floor Lecture Hall of Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute.

Three participants participated from all the constituent colleges of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth participated in the elocution contest and spoke emphathatically on the topic “Science and Technolgy for Sustainable Future”. Prof. Jaiganesh, Professor and Head, Department of Physiology, MGMCRI, Dr. Balanehru Subramanian, Deputy Director of CIDRF and Dr. Mangaiyarkarasi, Sr. Scientist of CIDRF were the jury for the contest.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K.R.Sethuraman distributed the Chancellor’s Medal, Trophies, Certificates and Cash Award of Rs.3000 (1st Place), Rs.2000 (2nd Place) and Rs.1000 ( 3rd Place) to the winners. Prof. N. Ananthakrishnan Dean- Research and AHS introduced National Science Day to the gathering. Prof. M. Ravishankar, Dean – Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Adithan C, Director – CIDRF felicitated the participants The Registrar, Prof. A.R.Srinivasan, the Principals and Vice- Principals of the constituent colleges, faculty and staff of the constituent colleges participated in large numbers.
