 National Science Day is celebrated throughout the country on 28 th February every year to remember the cardinal discovery of the Raman Effect by the celebrated Indian Physicist Sir C.V. Raman. The celebration of National Science Day on 28 th February every year was proposed by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication in the year 1987 and accepted by the Government of India.
