 The expert cardiothoracic surgery team at Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute, led by Dr. C. Saravanane, along with Dr. Dinesh Kumar, successfully performed the first open heart surgery for a patient who required a difficult double valve replacement. The patient recovered uneventfully in the dedicated Coronary Care Unit of the Hospital. This remarkable feat at a fraction of the regular cost wouldn’t have been successful without the help of the Department of Anesthesiology and ENT.
