In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, on 30th April 2020, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Postgraduate student, Department of Pulmonary medicine presented a special seminar on “Respiratory Protection” held at D2 Lecture Hall, Hospital Block, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Puducherry. Before the seminar, pretest was conducted to post graduate students. Following pretest, the seminar was started and moderated by Prof (Dr.) Pajanivel R Head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine. All faculties, senior Residents and post graduates of Pulmonary medicine department attended the session. The program covered various components of respiratory protection – history, the different types of protection needed (contact, droplet, airborne) and current recommendations by various organizations.
