Technical update and hands-on workshop on Impulse oscillometry

The potential of Airwave Impulse oscillometry in day-to-day practice for the evaluation of small airway disease and the enormous research potential in understanding the correlation of the findings with other lung function techniques (DLCO, spirometry) was well elaborated. The simplicity of the device which demands very little patient effort as against the conventional pulmonary function devices (Spirometry and DLCO) was lucidly explained.
Carna Medicare with their young and dynamic team coordinated the event in a neat fashion. HOD took the initiative in organizing this event for the benefit of the Department faculty (Pulmonary and AHS faculty), MD Postgraduates, and AHS students to keep ourselves updated in the field of Pulmonary Function Testing. The probability of demonstrating & discussing another new and important pulmonary function device (Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide, FENO) was also discussed.
