 
Department of Periodontology, IGIDS, SBV and IDA Cuddalore successfully conducted a massive “ WORLD NO TOBACCO CAMPAIGN” on 31st May 2022 between 9 am to 1 pm at Pondy, Cuddalore and Vadalur to create awareness among auto drivers regarding hazards of tobacco. The camp was conducted with the support of 4 Interns and 1 Faculty member. Verbal information, Pamphlets depicting ‘Ill effects of tobacco’ were handed out and also pasted on the vehicles to spread the awareness. Screening for tobacco related lesions, awareness and free prophylaxis for security personnel and drivers from transport department, SBV at the Department of Periodontology, IGIDS was done as part of the program. Basic dental treatment and bus facility will be made free of cost for those who require treatment in Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences.
