 The international women’s day was celebrated in our institution on 8/3/2023 between 9am to 4pm in the ground floor , lecture hall , college block .Theme -DIGITALL: innovation & technology for gender equality-Embrace equality was highlighted .
Inauguration of the program started with SBV anthem, Tamizh Thai Vazhthu , lighting of lamp , welcome address, key note address, introduction of speaker .
The chief guest & speaker of the day was – Dr.P.Supraja , Asso.professor of IT, SRM, Chennai
She has won the young woman achiever of the year 2021, AICTE Visvesvaraya best teacher award In 2021 & International Inspirational women awards. she highlighted how the mails & Instagram can be hacked , the measures to keep oneself to be safe when they are online as well posting pictures etc. clicking unknown links need to be considered judiciously. Having protected password was also stressed for being safe online .app refreshing was also mentioned, the process of getting likes has to stopped. The speaker’s lecture was followed by honoring the Best Women performer in all categories -Faculties: Medical & Nursing college, interns of AHS, Nursing final year student, Nursing staff, Lab technician, Admin staff of college & HR, computer operator. Hod of Anatomy, who is about to superannuate was also honored. The official program came to a closure with vote of thanks by the member secretary. It was followed by cultural activities by the students – singing, dancing. The program came to a closure by 4pm.
