 
Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing (SSSCON) organized the commemoration of World Sight Day 2024 on 25th October 2024, at Lecture Hall 3, Third Floor, College Block, SSSMCRI. The theme for this year’s world sight day is ‘Children, Love Your Eyes,’ aimed to raise awareness about eye health among children in the digital age. Prof. Dr. K. Prema Sekar, Principal of SSSCON was the Organizing Chairperson of the event and Mr. Snowden, Associate Professor Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, SSSCON was the Organizing Secretary. The program began at 11:30 AM with a formal welcome by Mr. Snowden, Associate Professor, SSSCON. The theme was unfolded by Prof. Dr. Gold Sahaya Rani, HoD Department of Medical Surgical Nursing highlighting the significance of eye care. The guest lecture on the topic ‘Caring for Your Eyes in the Digital Age: Protecting Vision Amid Technology Overload’ was delivered by Dr. Syed Ali Nasar Waris, Professor and HOD, Department of Ophthalmology, Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute. Mr.Dinesh M, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, SSSCON proposed the vote of thanks. Around 99 students participated in the event and the program concluded by 12:30 PM.
