Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing has conducted a Webinar on the commemoration of World sight day based on the theme of this year 2021- “Love your eyes” on 13th October 2021 through Zoom Platform at SSSCON, Conference Room. The program started at 10.00 am and ended at 12.30 pm.
The Webinar started with an introduction about World Sight day by Prof.A.L.Mahalakshmi, Vice Principal, SSSCON, followed by a warm welcome address by Mr.Snowden, Asst Prof, SSSCON. The first session started with “Unfolding the theme of the World sight day- Love your eyes” by Prof.Dr.Helen Shaji J.C., Principal, Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing, IInd session was presented by Dr. G S Srinivasan M.S., D.O,, Professor and HOD Dept of Ophthalmology, SSSMCRI on “Corneal transplant surgery: What you need to know”. IIIrd session was presented by Mr.Subramani, Eye Bank Manager, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai on “ Eye donation & Eye banking: Eye never die donate eye”. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.R.Golda, Professor, SSSCON. A total of 200 delegates participated in the Webinar from various colleges and nursing institutes including faculty and students from various disciplines such as Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences. All the doubts were clarified by the speakers and the webinar successfully completed.
