The Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universite Paris – Saclay, France for collaboration in areas of patient care, academics, research and public health.
According to a press note from the SBV, the MoU was signed recently in the presence of Charles Mahy, Counsellor for Health and Social Policies, Embassy of France in India, Jean Philip, Deputy Consul General, Consulate General of France in Pondicherry and Dr. Didier Raboisson, Attaché for Scientific and Academic Cooperation, North and Eastern Region.
Satish Nallam, Medical Advisor, Consulate of France, Nirmal Coumare, Director of Health, Hospitals and Outreach Services and Asha K., Director (Administration) at SBV also participated in the ceremony. A high-level delegation from Universite Paris – Saclay, France comprising Agnes Linglart, Vice Dean, International and European Affairs, School of Medicine, Jane Breger – John, Head of the Department, International and European Affairs and Djea Saravane, Faculty of Medicine, Universite Paris – Saclay had a brainstorming session with team SBV, headed by Vice-Chancellor Nihar Ranjan Biswas.
The discussions pertained to student and faculty exchange initiatives, collaborative research, drug discovery, knowledge-sharing on salutogenesis (concept of wellness) and joint doctoral programmes, the note said.Â
