The Department of Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy services both Out patients as well as In patients.

The School of Physiotherapy is associated with one of Shri Sathya Sai Medical College & Research Institute which is one of the constituent college of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth,Chennai Our students benefit immensely from the hospital’s extensive resources and patient care services, which provide unparalleled clinical exposure essential for their professional development.

The core services at the hospital, including broad specialties in Medicine and Surgery, serve patients from a wide catchment area. The out-patient services handle approximately 1800 patients daily, providing our physiotherapy students with ample opportunities to engage with diverse cases. The general wards are spacious, well-ventilated, clean, and illuminated, with an occupancy rate of about 85%. This setting allows our students to observe and participate in various patient care scenarios.

The physiotherapy units, located on the ground floor of Hospital Block treat an average of 100-150 patients daily. These services include massage, manual therapy, movement therapy, electrotherapy modalities, thermal agents, cryotherapy, and exercise therapy. Beneficiaries include patients with musculoskeletal problems, degenerative conditions, stroke patients, and more, offering our students diverse and comprehensive clinical training experiences.

Our partnership with the hospital enriches our academic programs, ensuring that our students receive comprehensive clinical training. This collaboration supports our goal of moulding complete physiotherapists who are not only skilled in treating diseases but also dedicated to curing patients holistically. Through hands-on experience and a well-rounded approach, our students are prepared to excel in both conventional and advanced medical setups.
