Research Background

Research Committee was initiated on 1st November 2019 to promote the faculty and students, aiming for evidence-based practice from both patient care and academics. The SBV has a well-developed Central Inter-Disciplinary Research Facility which would extend their endless support to Nursing in bringing out the standard research activities, confirm facts, reaffirm the results of previous work, solve new or existing problems, support theories, and develop new theories. The Research Committee includes committees such as IHEC (Institutional Human Ethical Committee) and IRC(Institutional Research Council). The Committee enables the students and faculty to conduct extensive research on different specialties and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of nursing practice, education, and management. The committee also develops the research building capacity of the faculty, encouraging the students to undertake more research in the thrust areas of nursing education, practice and administration, and effective utilization of evidence-based practices at the SSSCON and SSSMCRI campus.
