Undergraduate Program

Entry Requirement for UG

  • Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institutions and the Government of India as the case may be.
  • The aspirants have to become eligible in the competitive examinations conducted at central level (NEET) – The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.

MBBS

The Undergraduate Program of MBBS got initiated in 2008 with an intake capacity of 150 students and till the last academic year 10 batches of students have been enrolled in this prestigious institution.

  • Pre-clinical Phase I (1 year): Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Community Medicine.

At the end of semester 2, University exams will be conducted in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry. Student need to clear Phase I Preclinical examinations before moving into Phase II. Supplementary examinations for I MBBS will be held by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, 6 Weeks after the publication of results of the original examinations, so as to enable students who fail in the original examinations to join the main batch.

  • Preclinical Phase II (1.5 years): Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine.

At the end of semester 5, University exams will be conducted in Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Forensic Medicine. The students who fail these exams can proceed in their course study. However, they need to clear the previous examinations before appearing for the subsequent subjects.

  • Clinical Phase I (1 year): Community Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology.

At the end of semester 7, University exams will be conducted in Community Medicine, Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology.  The students who fail these exams can proceed in their course study. However, they need to clear the previous examinations before appearing for the subsequent subjects.

  • Clinical Phase II (1 year): Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics.

At the end of semester 9, University exams will be conducted in Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Pediatrics. Students need to clear Final MBBS Phase II before moving to Internship.

  • English shall be the medium of instruction for all the subjects of study and for examinations.
  • The clinical postings shall start in the beginning of 3rd semester and shall continue till the end of the 9th semester. The total duration of clinical posting is 142 weeks.
  • Internship: After passing the III professional part-II examinations, a MBBS student will be eligible for the CRRI – Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship training for a period of one year
