Department of Psychiatry
- The Department of Psychiatry, SSSMC/RI, is functioning since 2009. Since its inception, the staff and the faculties have been relentlessly pursuing to increase the quality of clinical, academic and research triad.Â
- The department has been sequentially expanded in terms of sub-specialties, patient inflow, widening of community service offered as well as research activities. The growth in physical infrastructure accompanied the expansion.Â
- Currently, the Department of Psychiatry is a self-contained, integrated complex with adjoining outpatient and in-patient facilities, located in the ground floor of the main hospital building of SSSMC/RI.
