Leadership development cell
Leadership Development Cell of KGNC is for preparing and empowering the students and faculty members to have a vision to improve their skills, abilities and confidence in order to perform the leadership roles with the dynamism at college , at each level of health care system and at any settings in India and across the globe. The aim of this cell is to spur the growth of leadership skill, drive innovation, unleash the full penitential of the students and to mentor the future generation by influencing positively.
OBJECTIVES
- To scale-up the student’s decision-making skills, build better teams and shape future leaders.
- To improve methods of learning leadership concepts
- To develop students as futuristic leaders
ACTIVITIES
- The members of the LDC are selected by the President every year from the nominations received from the students
- The member secretary of LDC prepares agenda, date ,time and venue of the meeting and informs all the members of the cell.
- LDC meeting shall be conducted 3 times a year by president with mandatory attendance of the members and if any apology shall be recorded by the members secretary.
- Member secretary with the guidance of president and Vice President will plan for programs like guest lectures, motivational talks, workshops, short film, share videos, skits ,role play, live in experience, sharing success stories on leadership skill development.
- Every year minimum 3 programs will be organised.
- Both internal and external experts who excel in their own field and who have leadership capacity and willing to inspire others will be invited for deliberation.
FUNCTIONS
It’s worth the effort to train leaders for future by
- focusing on development of high potential leaders
- making the students to understand the hallmarks of visionary leaders
- fostering the right leadership qualities by balancing their personal leadership style and approach.
- helping them to build relationship with diverse group of peers by making decision and directing patient care initiatives
- building high performance team and prepare them effectively to lead in situations involving crisis and conflicts
- balancing their mind to be open to receive feedback and learn to deliver it with tact.
- molding their language, communication skill ,interpersonal and critical thinking skill, interpersonal skill
- prepare them to face the future challenging world and make them sustain in frontline both professionally and personally
RESOLUTIONS
- Conduction of many skill development programs in the form of guest lectures, workshops, seminars , guest lectures, motivational talks, short film, videos, skits, role play, success stories etc..
FUTURE PLAN
- To conduct many number of  innovative programs to  develop the leadership quality among the students and faculty members
