Profile SummaryDr. Chandra Philip completed her MBBS at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore and MD at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. She began her teaching career in the Department of Anatomy, KMC Manipal in the year 2006 teaching undergraduates of various courses like MBBS, BDS, BPT, Nursing, Allied health sciences etc.After serving seven years in Manipal group she has joined MGMC&RI in 2013 and serving the Institution till date. She has authored/co-authored ten research articles and has presented and participated at various conferences. She has attended various Faculty development programs held at MGMC&RI. She is trained in Basic course workshop and has attended National Course on Educational Science for Teachers of Health Professionals held at JIPMER, PUDUCHERRY. She is also a life member for the Society of Clinical Anatomists. Currently,she is is holding a post of Head of the Department and also a member of academic committees eg Board of studies both for MBBS & BDS, Curriculum Committee, etc. She has also served as an internal & External Examiner and paper setter in Anatomy both for UG & PG Examinations. She is also recognized as a guide for MD Dissertation and Ph.D. thesis. Currently, she is guiding five external and one internal Ph.D.candidates.
Dr. Sadeesh T
Sadeesh.T was born and brought up in Karaikal, did his schooling in GMS-Surakudy, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya-Rayanpalayam. He got an MBBS seat (2001) in Aarupadai Veedu Medical College & Hospital affiliated to Pondicherry University. He did his CRRI in Indira Gandhi Govt.GH - Pondy (2006-2007). Dr.Sadeesh.T joined the Govt.GH–Karaikal as General Duty Medical Officer, posted in the Surgery department and done many minor surgical procedures and assisted the major cases. He was also practicing in the Private Hospital- Sugam Priya - Karaikal as Duty Med Officer. He joined as a tutor in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute and did his MD (Anatomy) in 2009-2012, under the Guidance of Dr.Sudha Rao and Dr.Arun Chandra Singh. Later he joined the same institution as Asst. Professor. During this period he was given additional responsibility as Asst. Controller of Examination- SBV where he learned the rules and regulations of the University and the process of Examination. He has contributed to the Department at various levels, designed the “LOGO” of the Department of Anatomy, Voluntary Body Donation program (MOKSHA), and organized the CME in 2015. Contributed to research projects of the PG’s & colleagues and published 10 articles in National & International. NAAC coordinator till 2016 then promoted as Associate Professor in Aug 2016 and continuing till date. He used to participate in Nation and International FDP. He was appointed as an internal examiner and external examiner by various Universities. Presently, pursuing Ph.D. (Medical Genetics).

Profile SummaryAs a graduate from JIPMER, Dr.Anitha Nancy T is having student teaching experience for MBBS, BSc & MSc Nursing, BSc MLT and allied sciences. At present designation as assistant professor in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and research institute, Pondicherry has enabled her to provide medical and dental students with a head start in mastering basic clinical skills. She is challenged to be creative, nurturing and most of all, patience. She always tried to improve her teaching methodology by updating to recent trends by participating in faculty development programs, CME`s and workshops. Dr. Prabavathy G
Dr. G. Prabavathy working currently as Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy, MGMCRI, Puducherry. She has participated in many state, national and International conferences, CME, Seminars and Workshops. She was an organizing committee member and treasurer of national level departmental CME in 2015. She has presented oral scientific papers in 6 state and national level conferences. She have 10 publications published in indexed (Pubmed, Scopus) national and international journals. She have been doing many research projects in regional anatomy, histopathology and also radiation effects in animal models.
She is a Faculty Member in-charge for FUGRA (Fellowship in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia) in our institution and having training in regional anatomy, Sonoanatomy for the past 3 years. She had participated as Resource person and guest speaker in anaesthesia state conferences and involved in conducting cadaveric workshops.
She also certified as instructor in BLS Health care providers and Advanced Cardiovascular Life support. Her career objective is to be an honest, sincere and innovative professional and to reach great heights in a reputed organisation and to succeed in this competitive world.
Dr Ethiraj Ramalingam
Ethiraj.R was born and brought up in Puraisaiwalkam, did his schooling in MCTM & St Pauls Higher Secondary school, Chennai. He did B.Sc (MLT) in VIMS-Tirupathi, and then pursued M.Sc (M) Anatomy in Shanti Ram Medical College & Hospital, Nandyal, Kurnool from NTR University of Health Science, Vijayavada- Andhra Pradesh. During his masters, he did the study on “Sexual dimorphism in Sacrum” as his dissertation topic under the guidance of Dr.Dharmadass.K. Later he joined Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute as Tutor from 2017 and taking classes for MBBS, BDS BPT and Allied Health Sciences till date. During this period he was given addition responsibility of Dissection Hall. He contributed for research projects of colleagues and students. He used to actively participate in Nation and International FDP.
