Objectives

Context
- Xtreme Forensics will make students to understand regarding various laws related to medical practice. It portrays various subspecialties in Forensic Medicine like Clinical Forensic Medicine, Forensic Pathology, Sexual Jurisprudence, Forensic Toxicology etc.
The Practice
- Most of the medical practitioners face negligence issues, allegation by patients owing to lack of documentation or lack of knowledge in medical jurisprudence. Poster presentation will make the students to understand the subject matter in better sense in various topics like post-mortem changes, mechanical asphyxia, domestic violence, dowry deaths, sexual assaults, unnatural sexual offences, abortion etc. Though many doctors becomes a successful medical practitioners or good at hands on skill, when it comes to negligence suit even the experienced doctors lacks proper knowledge in handling Medico-Legal litigations or to defend themselves. When MBBS students get trained themselves in legal knowledge of medicine through posters in their curriculum there are more chances that they gain knowledge regarding legal aspects of practice of medicine as it is portrayed through paintings or 3Dmodels or posters which makes them more efficient both medically and legally to understand Medico-Legal issues when they complete their graduation.
Evidence of Success
