COUNSELING PROCESS

  1. Candidates who have been allotted through Centralized counselling by the MCC of  DGHS for admission to MBBS/BDS Degree course in the Deemed to be University for the academic year 2020-21, advised to report and complete the admission process within the date and time as per the allotment order issued by the DGHS . All the days will be working days for our University Admissions Counselling Office during the reporting period.
  2. Please report to the respective Colleges Admission Office from 8:30 AM onwards till 5:00 PM, along with your Parent / Legal Guardian.
  3. Please arrange and bring the ORIGINALS of the following Mandatory Certificates (Failure to produce all of these certificates without exception will result in summary rejection of your candidature)
      1. Provisional Allotment Letter  issued by the MCC
      2. Caste Certificate (if Applicable)
      3. NEET UG  2020 Admit Card  issued by CBSE
      4. NEET UG 2020 Result / Rank letter issued by CBSE.
      5. 12th Mark Sheet
      6. Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric / Class 10th Certificate does not bear the same)
      7. Transfer / Migration / Conduct Certificate
      8. Fifteen (15) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form.
      9. Photo copies of all the above certificate 2 sets self attested.
      10. Proof of identity – Aadhaar, EPIC – Voter ID Card, Passport, Driving License, Any other Government of India issued Identity Card (Should not have expired)
      11. Family Photograph (or Photograph with Legal Guardian) – to submit at the time of commencement of classes.
  4. In addition, Please bring the ORIGINALS of the following Certificates if they are applicable to you:
      1. OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer to claim OBC reservation benefit. The OBC certificate must be in the standard format as mentioned in the prospectus/ Information Bulletin.
      2. SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (in the standard format as specified in the prospectus/information bulletin) and it should be in English or Hindi in language. Sub caste should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. Some of the States insist for English version of Caste Certificate. In case the certificate is in regional language the candidate should carry a Attested translated copy of the certificate in English/ Hindi
      3. Orthopedic Physical Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Boards. (Please see clause 10.1 of Information Bulletin of AIPMT,/NEET for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses, published by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for details)

MCC Notice for MOP UP Reporting

Constituent Colleges:

In reference to the letter dated Ref.U12021/44/2019/70-MEC dated 22.07.2020 from the Office of the ADG (ME), Directorate General of Health Services, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

MCC had uploaded Provisional Result for Mop up Round of PG Counseling on 21st July, 2020. However, due to the verification issue of I.P University candidates and the time taken in verification at the university level, the result of Mop Up Round of PG Counseling, 2020 has been delayed. The result of Mop Up Round will be declared on 23rd July, 2020 (Thursday) and the participating candidates are advised to take any further action only agter the publication of Final result as there may be some changes in the final revised result.

Keeping in view, the time constraint and to faciliate candidates in the prevailing adverse situation of COVID pandemic, MCC/MoHFW has decided to allow candidates of Mop Up Round for Online / Offline Reporting. Further, the seats of candidates of Mop up Round who do not complete their Admission provess formally (offline/online) may be cancelled by the college on last date of reporting, so that the seats come back in system for reversion to Deemed / Central Universities for stray vacancy round to be conducted at the University/Institute level. Hence the candidates are advised to keep track of the last date of Reporting according to schedule.

Admission to Faculty of Allied Health Science & Faculty of Pharmacy

Applications are invited from eligible and desirous candidates for joining the above courses offered at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Pondicherry, Shri Sathya Sai Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai and School of Pharmacy (SBV Main Campus, Pondicherry) of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth.

Selection for UG courses will be based on merit at the Common Entrance Test (SBV-CET 2020) followed by an interview by the duly constituted Admission Committee and B.Pharm course will be based on merit at the Common Entrance Test (SBV-CET 2020)

  • Selection for PG courses will be based on an interview by the duly appointed Selection Committee.
  • The filled in application along with the credentials and a Demand Draft for Rs.500/ in favour of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth should be sent to the Office of the Registrar, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, , Pillaiyarkuppam, Pondicherry – 607 402 on or before18/07/2020 for all the courses offered at both the campuses.
  • The topics for the Entrance Test for UG – AHS courses and B.Pharm Course are available in the Information Brochure.
  • The duration of the Entrance Test for the UG – AHS will be 3 hours. The Entrance Test will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. The break-up of Questions will be 25 from Physics, 25 from Chemistry and 50 from Biology based on the +2 level.
  • For B. Pharm. Students the Entrance Test will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. The break-up of Questions will be 25 from Physics, 25 from Chemistry,50 from Biology OR 50 from Mathematics based on the +2 level.

Candidates desiring to apply for both AHS courses and B.Pharm course have to submit separate applications One for AHS courses (with 3 Choices) and One for B. Pharm Course.

Allotment to the different specialities will be done as follows, at the personal interview

  • Separate merit list will be drawn for Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute and ShriSathyaSai Medical College & Research Institute.
  • The allotment of the specialty will be based on the merit (rank) at the CET – 2020 and the candidate’s choice of preference as indicated in the application. If the seat opted by the candidate is already exhausted then the allotment of the specialty will be based on
        • The Candidates other choices in the order of their preference and their rank at CET- 2020.
        • If the candidate’s choice cannot be accommodated, SBV reserves the right to allot the Speciality based on the existing availability of seats.
        • Attending the personal interview is a must.

For PG – AHS courses the selection will be based on the marks obtained at the Qualifying Examination and the performance at the Personal interview. (13/08/2020)

Fellowship in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia

FELLOWSHIP POLICY

  1. Number of fellows intake: 2 per academic session
  2. The candidates will be recruited as fellows but work under the designation of the senior resident, and will be provided with the stipend of the senior resident, which is approximately Rs. 75,000/- per month which may change according to the hospital management policy at the time of recruitment
  3. The candidates will be posted individually in the Operation Theatres with predominant exposure to the Regional Anaesthesia.
  4. The Fellows will be expected to prepare and coordinate a Regional Anaesthesia list, for cases posted in the OT’s, with the FUGRA faculty designated as coordinators, every day. They are expected to list the Cases amenable to regional anaesthesia and enlist a regional strategy for each of the cases.
  5. The fellows will be expected to do at least 5-night duties per month, which are 24hours stay duties, following which there will be a Post Duty off. For the first month, fellows will be expected to do emergency duties alongside senior faculty.
  6. The fellows will be granted leave according to the institute policy, but are expected to have 80% attendance in order to be eligible for the exit exam at the end of the session.
  7. Attendance lost cannot be extended into the following session.
  8. All fellows will be expected to maintain the Daily RA record as well as make academic presentations in the department according to a timetable.
  9. All fellows will undergo periodic competency assessments during the course, with feedback sessions for the betterment of the fellow and the program.
  10. The fellowship certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the course and securing above 50% in the Exit exam which consists of a Theory paper and Practical Examination.
    1. Theory paper consists of 10 essay questions in 3hours
    2. The practical exam takes place at a later date and consists of 10 stations to cover all aspects of USGRA.

SELECTION PROCESS

  1. All applicants will be expected to attend an entrance examination, consisting of MCQ’s.  The date of the exam will be notified to each applicant by the first week of December.
  2. Applicants will be short-listed based on the performance in the entrance exam
  3. Shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited for an interview.
  4. Candidates are strongly encouraged to make an in-person visit to the department to ascertain if it meets their training objectives and personal goals.
  5. The selected applicants will be notified and will be expected to pay the course fee of Rs 75000/- ( Rupees Seventy Five Thousand only) as demand draft
  6. Confirmation of enrolment to the course must be submitted within 10 days of receipt of selection letter not later than 30th of  January failing which the waitlisted candidates will be invited for enrolment.
  7. The course will commence on March 1st without fail.

DISCONTINUATION POLICY:

  1. Enrolment and confirmation course fee Rs 75,000/- once paid will not be refunded.
  2. An official letter stating the reason for discontinuation must be submitted to the office.

Admissions Information

Observership in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia at MGMCRI

APPLICATION PROCESS

1. To start the application process, candidates are required to email a letter of Intent, addressed to Prof. T. Sivashanmugam, stating interest in attending the Observership Program and specify the tentative dates which they intend on attending.
2. This letter can be emailed to fugramgmcri@gmail.com and with Curriculum Vitae attached.
3. Once mail is received, the proposed dates based on the vacancy will be reviewed and intimation of acceptance will be sent via email.
4. Your Letter and accepted dates will be forwarded through the proper channel to the Dean of the institute.
5. On arrival to the campus, the application must be submitted to the Medical Superintendent, in person.
6. Once confirmation process of your observership has been completed you will be required to pay the fees (In cash) in the accounts department, and you will be issued a Temporary ID to attend the program.
Prescribed fees Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand Only) for 15 days
NOTE : This process will take one day, so kindly try to come one day prior to your intended
date of joining, so as to maximise the time for attendance to the Program.

OBSERVERSHIP POLICIES

1. The candidate will get the opportunity to observe any and all the RA procedures being attended in the department. They will not be restricted to any one Operation Theatre.
2. Candidates are not privileged to carry out unsupervised procedures on patients, however will have the opportunity to perform scanning on volunteers.
3. A specialised academic schedule will be issued on arrival which will cover the major theory areas for the duration of the observership.
4. Candidates are expected to attend the academic sessions along with the current Fellowship candidates and also attend the dissection classes.
5. There is no exit exam for the observership.
6. There is also no extension policy for leaves taken during the course.
7. A certificate will issued on completion of the duration with a processing fee of Rs100/-.
8. Accommodation is not included, and the candidates must bear the responsibility of arranging their own accommodation and transport according to their convenience.
Candidate may contact the department for any information regarding accommodation
near the institute.

DISCONTINUATION POLICY

If for any reason the candidate needs to discontinue the course after initiation, the admission fee will not be refunded and official permission to leave the course must be submitted.
