SBV KARAIKAL CAMPUS
Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV), Deemed to be University has been accredited by NAAC with A++ Grade (CGPA of 3.58 on 4 point scale) at the Second Cycle held during December 2021 vide reference No. 2 as cited above.
SBV was graded to be among the category I Deemed to be Universities by UGC. SBV is ranked one among the top 100 Universities in India by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) since 2016.
With the advent of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and also the conferment of Category I Deemed to be University status subsequent to NAAC A ++ Grade obtained by SBV, the Board of Management of SBV at its 36th meeting dated 10th November 2023 had recommended the need for the overall development and sustained growth that should be enhanced by Qualitative and Quantitative endeavours.
Based on the approval accorded by its Board of Management, SBV intends to start the following programmes at its proposed campus at Karaikal which falls in the same Union Territory where SBV is located.
About School of Pharmacy (SOP)
Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth is starting the School of Pharmacy at its Karaikal campus. The School of Pharmacy will offer B. Pharm. Program with an annual intake of 60 per year.
Prof. Muthu Kumaran Mylasalam
Professor of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) is the Principal of the School of Pharmacy, SBV Karaikal campus. He has a vast teaching experience of nearly 17 years. Prof. Muthu Kumaran Mylasalam has nearly 80 research publications to his credit with a h-index of 12 and an i-10 index of 13.
To start with the School of Pharmacy, SBV Karaikal Campus will be offering a B.Pharm program with an annual intake of 60 students per annum.
