Currently the priority areas fall in three groups:

• Infectious And Neglected Diseases;
• Metabolic Syndromes And Diseases;
• Inflammation And Immunology.

♦ Research is already ongoing in these areas for example researches on tuberculosis, parasitic diseases, dengue, diabetes, hypertension, cancer and hematological disorders.

♦ New technologies like genomics, genetic engineering, computation biology, and bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, stem cell biology, artificial intelligence, repurposing of drugs, bio-design epidemiology and evidence-based AUYUSH system of medicine are employed in understanding these diseases and disorders.
