Welcome to the Postgraduate Courses in Medicine and Dentistry at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth.

All admissions to the postgraduate courses are made through the PG Medical Counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

MCC Notice for MOP UP Reporting

In reference to the letter dated Ref.U12021/44/2019/70-MEC dated 22.07.2020 from the Office of the ADG (ME), Directorate General of Health Services, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

MCC had uploaded Provisional Result for Mop up Round of PG Counseling on 21st July, 2020. However, due to the verification issue of I.P University candidates and the time taken in verification at the university level, the result of Mop Up Round of PG Counseling, 2020 has been delayed. The result of Mop Up Round will be declared on 23rd July, 2020 (Thursday) and the participating candidates are advised to take any further action only agter the publication of Final result as there may be some changes in the final revised result.

Keeping in view, the time constraint and to faciliate candidates in the prevailing adverse situation of COVID pandemic, MCC/MoHFW has decided to allow candidates of Mop Up Round for Online / Offline Reporting. Further, the seats of candidates of Mop up Round who do not complete their Admission provess formally (offline/online) may be cancelled by the college on last date of reporting, so that the seats come back in system for reversion to Deemed / Central Universities for stray vacancy round to be conducted at the University/Institute level. Hence the candidates are advised to keep track of the last date of Reporting according to schedule.

The following documents are required:
  1. Admit Card issued by NBE
  2. Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE
  3. Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd & 3rd Professional Examinations.
  4. MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate/Provisional
  5. Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate shall complete the Internship by 31st March, of the year of admission.
  6. Permanent / provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council. Provisional Registration Certificate is acceptable only in cases where candidate is undergoing internship and likely to complete the same on or before 31st March of the year of admission.
  7. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date or birth.
  8. Candidates allotted seat must carry one of the identification proofs (ID Proof) to the allotted college at the time of admission (as mentioned in the information Bulletin published by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for AIPGMEE/ AIPGDEE i.e. PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport or Aadhar Card).
  9. The Candidate should also bring/ upload the following certificates, if applicable
    1. SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi language. Sub caste should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
    2. OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer. The OBC certificate must be in the format as mentioned in the prospectus.
    3. Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board for 21 Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act,2016. No other PwD certificate, issued by any other Authorities/ Hospital will be entertained.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE TO MD/MS/MDS PROGRAMMES

All Admissions are strictly based on the merit through NEET PG 2021 and the Counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) duly constituted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI, New Delhi.

Once you have been allocated a seat for a PG programmes, through the Centralised Counselling process, please report to the Office of the Registrar/Dean at the respective colleges to complete the admission process on or before the stipulated date mentioned in the seat ‘Allotment Letter’ issued by the Medical Council Committee, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi.

REFUND / DISCONTINUATION –   POLICY

Withdrawal of candidacy shall be strictly according to guidelines prescribed by the MCC.

1 In case of re-allocation / resign after the first round of counselling Rs. 50,000/- Processing fee will be collected and the remaining will be refunded to the same account from where the fees was transferred.
2 If any candidate resigns / withdraws after the second round of counselling. No refund of tuition fee & other fees.

Penalty to be imposed if any candidate resigns/withdraws from the course resulting in rendering the seat vacant.

Or

If any candidate resigns / withdraws after the last date of admission as prescribed by the DGHS/ NMC.

If the Candidate discontinues his/her course of study for any reason whatsoever after admission, the candidate with his/her parents / Guardian shall be liable to pay the whole fees for the entire course of study before being formally released from the Deemed to be University and original certificates returned. A binding  agreement to this effect will be signed by the candidate and his/her parents / Guardian.

a) Request for cancellation through E-mail / Telephone/Mobile etc., will not be entertained.

b) The maximum time taken to process and effect the transfer of refund of amount will be 5 working days.

HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION

Separate hostels are available for male and female postgraduates and are comfortably furnished. All Postgraduate students will have to compulsorily reside in the Campus as per statutory rules.

The rooms are fully furnished, with air-conditioning, hot water geysers, student Wi-Fi and other amenities. The hostels feature common areas with reading halls, gym, theatre, playgrounds for football, hockey, cricket, volleyball, basketball & lawn tennis, etc.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
 
Medical Fitness

Medical Fitness of the candidate for undertaking the professional course is a  mandatory requirement for securing admission. All candidates shall undergo a medical examination (which includes mental fitness) for determining the fitness at one of the University’s tertiary care hospitals and be certified to be medically fit.

Ragging

There is a strict zero tolerance policy with regard to ragging. Any student found indulging in ragging will be dealt with in accordance with rules in the force prohibiting ragging and thus  result in dismissal from the University as per the “Medical Council of India (Prevention and Prohibition of ragging in Medical College / Institutions) Regulations, 2009” (as amended), ”DCI Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Dental Colleges, 2009”  (as amended) and “UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009”(as amended).   Toll Free Anti-ragging helpline number:1800 – 180 – 5522.

Professionalism and Code of Conduct

The University lays important emphasis on Professionalism.

All PG students are governed by a strict code of conduct and are expected to uphold dignity of the medical profession and the ethos of the Deemed to be University, morally and ethically. Any behaviour or action unbecoming of a Medical / Dental professional shall be deemed punishable.

High levels of academic commitment are expected of students. Parents / Guardian are expected to cooperate with the University to ensure high standards of education and professionalism that would be imparted to their wards.

BOND [ MD/MS ] – to be executed an a Non Judicial Stamp Paper

Candidate after successful completion of the MD/MS programme shall serve the concerned Medical College in their respective departments as Senior Residents for a period of one year, failing which he/she has to pay a penalty of Rupees Ten Lakhs. The candidate shall receive a pay as salary according to Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth  norms.

Penalty

Students shall compensate the Deemed to be University and pay the prescribed punitive fine in case of destruction and harm done to the property and interests. Failure to pay the penalty can result in debarring the student from appearing in the University Exams or withholding of the results.
