 
In commemoration of Children’s day & Pedodontist day, 14th November 2019, the Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, IGIDS conducted various programs. Colouring competitions, oral health education and screening camp were conducted for children and teachers of Kanniakovil Govt. Smart Primary school on 13th November 2019. Teachers were educated on “Common oral diseases in children & emergency management of traumatic injuries to teeth”. Children who won in the competitions and those who had the best oral hygiene were given prizes. Toothpaste was distributed to all the children and the teacher who scored the highest mark in the post-test was also appreciated with a gift. Various competitions were conducted for the students of SBV in which a total of 108 students (78 IGIDS students, 26 KGNC students & 4 AHS students) participated. Children who reported to the department for dental check-up & treatment on 14th Nov were wished and appreciated with gifts. The faculty of the department celebrated Pedodontist day on 14th Nov by distributing sweets to their colleagues in IGIDS.
