 
The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology had commemorated Charles Darwin in the department on 18.02.2020 at 11:00 a.m. Dr. M. Y. Mohamed Parvees, Assistant Professor, Division of computer science, Faculty of science from Annamalai University was the external resource person and delivered a lecture on ‘A technical talk on “Digital Dentistry” to the B.D.S. students. The lecture focused on the types of digital components, advantage of digital dentistry, role of Tele dentistry in various fields of dentistry, how to implement electronic medical records, electronic health records and personal health care records. The objective of the program was to understand the importance of digital dentistry to enhance the techniques and its applications in routine.Â
