A health education programme was conducted at an old age home on 30th of January 2021 with the help of our Medical Social Worker Mr. Buhari M, 2 CRRIs and 5 students (III-year MBBS)under the supervision of Dr. Jyothi V. (Assistant Professor), Dr. Lalithambigai C. (Senior Resident) and Dr. Amrit Mishra, Tutor, Department of Community Medicine, MGMCRI. Prior permission for conducting the program was sought from the authorities. There were around 50 elderly people who were gathered at NULM Old Age Home, Semmandalam, Cuddalore for the Health Education Program. An interactive health talk was delivered, with the display of illustrative charts on balanced diet and pamphlets on suitable exercises for the elderly were handed out. The residents of the home participated enthusiastically by voicing out their opinions and raising doubts that were cleared by the resource persons.
