The IQAC and NSS of Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, commemorated the World Environment Day on 5 th June 2018 which carried the theme “Plastic Pollution”. A poster competition titled “Drive plastic away” was conducted for the staff and students of IGIDS. The posters were judged by Dr B.V. Adkoli, Professor of Health Professions Education, Dr Jaikiran Kaur (1 st year Post Graduate, Paedodontics) and Miss. Salma Arif, CRRI, won the best poster award. Students and faculty also took part in campus clean-up campaign and planted saplings. Epipremnum aureum (Money plant) was donated to the nine Dental Departments. The Staff and students also signed a pledge to reduce plastic usage. Certificates were distributed to all the participants.
