Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College and Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing, the Constituent institutions of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth jointly organized the e-SAMHITA 2020 (International Conference of Health Science Undergraduate Students for two days) for Nursing Students. 234 delegates were registered from various Institutions such as CON, Armed Force Medical College, Pune, Hind Institute of Medical Science, Lucknow, West fort CON, Thrissur, VMCON, KGNC, Pondicherry and SSCON, Tiruporur.
SBV Plenary Session, was started at 9.30-10.15am by our Honourble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija on Relevance of Innovation in Undergraduate Medical Research. It was an enriched deliberation. Followed by SBV Plenary Session International Webinar on “Shaping Adolescents for Social Competence” by 10.30am was started. Dr.Fabiolo M dhananraj, Principal, Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing, Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu on “Positive Self-Identity and Self Regulations” from 11.25am to 12.10 pm e-poster Competition slot 1 was conducted by SSSCON, SBV. Dr. Cyrelle LO Dorico-Agunod, Assistant Professor, Nursing Department, CAMS Majmaah University, Ryadh, KSA was presented on the topic “Online Burnouts & Burdens- A challenge for Adolescents at 12.15pm-12.55pm. At 1.25pm, The Session was done by Dr.D.SudhaA.Reddi Principal, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, Karnataka, focused on the topic “Adolescents’ Social media Hygiene and Cyber Wellness” from 2.15pm – 3.00 pm e-poster Competition slot 2 was conducted by SSSCON, SBV and total 20 participantswere participated and 3 winners had been selected for this competition.
Day 2 was started with warm welcoming by the organizing Team. The SBV Plenary session was delibrated by Prof.K.R.Sethuraman Dean, Faculty Of medicine AIMST University, Malaysia on the topic Soft Skills for Successful Practice between 9.15am to 10.15am. It was a Valuable Deliberation.Followed by SBV Plenary Session, our KGNC and SSSCON started International Webinar on day 2 programmes.The Key Note Address on Adolescents Wellbeing Strategies was presented at 10.35am by Dr.Rebecca Samson, Director of Nursing & Research, AVMC&H, Puducherry. The Session was done by Dr. Premalatha P, Associate Professor, College of Nursing, King Kalidh University Khamis Mudhaid, KSA on the topic Building Social Skills for Adolescents.KGNC conducted Virtual Elocution between 12.15 to 1.00pm and 14 participants were participated and 3 winners had been selected.The Valedictory session commenced at 1.05pm, Mrs.Prabavathy S, Conference Secretary welcomed the gathering and presented a brief report about the e-SAMHITA conference proceedings. Followed that feedback was given by the delegates, winners and participants of the competitions were honored bye-certificates. The Conference came to an end at 2.00pm with vote of thanks.
